On The Bend Oyster Bar and Cigar Lounge
About us
Nestled on the edge of the historic La Villita Village is a very special place, the oldest two-story rock building in Bexar County, built by Otto Bombach in the mid-19th century. Today, that historic setting hosts our seafood restaurant in San Antonio, giving way to polished cocktails, live jazz music, cigar lounge nights, and a refined yet approachable take on Cajun cuisine and coastal dining.
RIVER WALK DINING
Fresh Oysters served up four ways riverside are the top billed fare here, but not the only superstar. Fresh gulf coast shrimp towers, bourbon basted salmon, and succulent slow-roasted Wagyu short rib, let you know that you just walked into another level of culinary showmanship.
Not to be outdone, our bartenders match that energy with some of the most innovative and well-structured cocktails in San Antonio. With notables such as the Creole Bacon Bloody Mary or the one that packs a wallop, the Vieux Carre (Vu-cah-ray) the bar alone can be a daunting foray into mixology. If you're with a party, you must try the obligatory Fish Bowls, but bring backup, they're not meant for one.
LIVE JAZZ MUSIC
The décor and vibe of On The Bend is a complete homage to the late, great Jim Cullum, one of San Antonio's most famous musicians who played with Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong to name a few.
Therefore, our music offerings are our way of keeping his spirit and legacy alive and well on the River Walk where he loved to play. We have live jazz music on the terrace and at night, where it sets the perfect mood. Please confirm playing times with the outlet.
